We’re working with a specialist engineering company at the forefront of energy monitoring, data acquisition, and smart building integration, delivering cutting-edge solutions across commercial and industrial environments.

Due to continued growth, they are now looking for a Site / Commissioning Engineer to join their team, supporting the delivery and integration of advanced metering and BMS-connected systems across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commission and configure energy monitoring and data logging systems on-site
  • Integrate solutions with Building Management Systems (BMS)
  • Work with communication protocols including Modbus, M-Bus, and BACnet
  • Connect and validate utility meters (electricity, heat, water, gas)
  • Diagnose and resolve integration and network communication issues
  • Collaborate with project managers, technical teams, and contractors
  • Produce commissioning reports and technical documentation
  • Support remote troubleshooting and system optimisation
Desired Experience
  • Experience with BMS / building controls systems
  • Knowledge of metering systems and data logging
  • Experience with Modbus, M-Bus, BACnet (or similar protocols)
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, routers, switches)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel
