Clear are looking for a skilled engineer to join our dynamic design team. The main responsibility is to design and implement intelligent Building Management Systems (BMS), including a front-end Graphical User Interfaces (GUI), for end users. The BMS controls Mechanical & Electrical HVAC plant, like air conditioning, lighting and water systems, to make buildings more energy efficient and comfortable.

In this role, you will be a key contributor to the design and delivery of some of the largest and most complex projects in the industry. You’ll collaborate closely with clients, consultants, and project teams to produce high‑quality BMS designs that ensure performance, efficiency, and reliability across mission‑critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design BMS Systems – Collaborate with project teams and clients to capture requirements and develop detailed system design plans.
  • Develop Front‑End GUIs – Configure user‑friendly graphical interfaces to provide intuitive control and monitoring for end users.
  • Program Smart Systems – Engineer BMS devices and strategies to optimise performance, improve efficiency, and reduce energy consumption.
  • Produce Panel Drawings (CAD) – Create accurate electrical control panel and system component drawings to ensure precise integration and installation.
  • Write Control Narratives – Develop comprehensive control narrative documents that clearly outline system functionality, logic, and operational sequences.
  • Testing & Commissioning Support – Validate system performance through testing, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions where required.

Ideal Candidate

  • Some experience in building automation systems (Trend, Distech, Tridium) is preferred although training will be provided.
  • Basic knowledge of computer programming and technology, including front‑end GUI development is preferred although training will be provided.
  • Experience with CAD drawing and control narrative documentation is preferred although training will be provided.
