We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Site Manager/Foreman to join our team and support the delivery of housing developments, groundworks and small car park projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage the day-to-day running of housing and small car park construction projects.
- Coordinate groundworkers, subcontractors, plant operators and other site trades.
- Supervise groundworks, drainage, kerbing/curbs, paving, concrete and external works.
- Oversee installation of kerbs/curbs, external paving, paving slabs, concrete slabs and hardstanding areas.
- Coordinate construction activities from groundworks through to completion.
- Read and understand construction drawings, specifications, levels and setting-out information.
- Monitor workmanship and ensure works meet required quality standards.
- Carry out regular site inspections and resolve issues promptly.
- Manage site health & safety, including RAMS, inductions, toolbox talks and site inspections.
- Liaise with Project Managers, clients, engineers and subcontractors.
The successful candidate should have solid construction site experience, ideally with a background in:
- Housing / residential developments
- Groundworks and civil engineering
- Small car parks and external works
- External paving and paving slabs
- Concrete slabs and hardstanding
- Drainage and utilities
- Foundations and associated groundworks
- Working with subcontractors and plant operators
- Proven experience managing construction sites or leading site teams.
- Ability to read construction drawings and understand levels and setting-out information.
- Experience supervising groundworks, kerbing, paving and slab works.
- Ability to coordinate subcontractors and keep works progressing to programme.
- Practical, hands-on approach to construction.
- CSCS card appropriate to the role.
- SSSTS or SMSTS would be advantageous.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
- Experience working as a Site Manager, Foreman or General Foreman would be advantageous.
