We started from scratch by building a completely cloudânative clearing and custody system designed for today's complex, global market. Clear Street's proprietary prime brokerage platform adds significant efficiency to the market, while focusing on minimising risk, redundancy, and cost for clients. Our goal is to create a single sourceâofâtruth platform for every asset class, in every country, and in any currency.
As an experienced Frontâend Software Engineer you will help build our flagship Clear Street Studio, a modern prime brokerage experience. You will tackle non-trivial problems that force you to balance trade-offs while implementing clean and efficient solutions. You will raise our bar on providing clean and efficient solutions that delight and offer the best experience for our customers. You will push our operational standards and ensure that we are able to offer and maintain a high SLA.
This role is deeply involved with engineering the next generation of our state of the art Studio (portal) for our varied client base including hedge funds, traders and portfolio managers.
You have 7+ years of professional experience building web applications with React and TypeScript. You've helped build systems that solve complex business problems and process huge volumes of data, and you're naturally interested in scale, distributed systems, and the technologies around them. You're able to clearly articulate system design tradeâoffs and patterns to both engineers and nonâtechnical stakeholders. You put the end user first, which is reflected in the way you design APIs, as well as in your features' functionality and performance. You have a solid grasp of design patterns, data structures, and algorithms. You communicate technical concepts clearly and enjoy collaborating with others to ship highâquality products. Your experience enables you to mentor teammates, help define engineering best practices, and promote a systemsâdesign mindset when creating new services.
You will work with a team of talented, passionate and highly collaborative engineers. Working together, we have built a platform that serves institutional clients and is at the forefront of technological innovation. Our engineers take pride in not just the value we provide our customers but the quality of our work. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with cuttingâedge technologies, collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds, and make a meaningful impact on the financial industry. We value creativity, innovation, strong work ethics, and we are committed to providing our team members with the support and resources they need to succeed.
