Overview
We are looking for a Software Product Manager to lead the design and development of a user interface that powers advanced navigation and autonomy for our robotic systems. This role will partner closely with technical teams and field operators to define requirements, prioritize development, and deliver intuitive features that maximize end-user performance in real-world environments. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of managing software products in technical domains, with strong expertise in backlog management, Jira-based tracking, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
Base pay range
$130,000.00/yr – $150,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the product vision and roadmap for the robotic user interface
- Gather input from technical stakeholders and end-users to guide feature development
- Translate user and business needs into actionable product requirements and backlog items
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
- Oversee sprint planning and tracking through Jira, providing clear visibility into progress and status
- Establish and manage delivery cadences for reliable, incremental software releases
- Collaborate with engineering and autonomy teams to align features with system capabilities
- Bridge communication between technical teams and field operators to validate usability and performance
- Monitor adoption, gather feedback from deployments, and refine the product roadmap accordingly
- Perform other responsibilities as reasonably assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or business discipline
- 4–7 years of experience in product management within software or technical domains (hands-on coding not required, but familiarity with software development is expected)
- Proven experience working with highly technical engineering teams
- Background in robotics, autonomy, or complex systems is strongly preferred
- Expertise in backlog management and Jira (or comparable tools)
- Experience establishing and maintaining delivery schedules or release cadences
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable product plans
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to balance detail with big-picture thinking
