Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid position based at our Kings Cross / Bloomsbury office Tuesday to Thursday and working from home on Monday and Fridays. The Senior Marketing Manager will oversee marketing strategy and execution across multiple channels to drive brand recognition, lead generation, and client engagement. Responsibilities include supporting our Head of Marketing in developing and executing our Conference and Exhibition event and awards marketing campaigns, and taking the lead on investigating how to launch new initiatives including marketing programs and new product/service solutions.

Required Candidate Attributes:

  • Be London based and would like to work in an office three days a week (Tuesday to Thursday)
  • Experienced in marketing of B2B conferences, 30+ stand exhibitions, awards
  • Knowledge of and at least two years hands-on experience of using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite, email marketing, LinkedIn advertising, Google Analytics, WordPress or similar Content Management System
  • Be confident in using ChatGPT, Claude, plus other AI tools in marketing
  • Be interested in working day-to-day on marketing campaign delivery, as well as inputting to the strategy and creative process that goes into setting campaigns - it is important to note that this role is 75 - 80% campaign delivery and 20 - 25% of time working on strategic priorities and long-term projects
  • Be interested in overseeing freelancers and occasional mentoring of interns, but not seeking day-to-day line management of a Junior team member as the immediate role progression

Bonus Candidate Attributes:

  • Experience in marketing online trade publications or other subscription-based digital products based on knowledge, market intelligence, or other thought leadership
  • Experience in marketing industry data or market intelligence platform to buyers of individual and company licenses (B2B only) focused on a UK audience, where events are a regular and prominent part of the marketing mix
  • Have used a workflow management tool, ideal ClickUp, but otherwise Monday.com, Notion, Slack, or other similar tool
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team collaboration abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines

Industry experience:

  • Most relevant: investment management or insurance industry
  • Second most relevant: other B2B industry where core audience is C-suite professionals

Geographic exposure:

  • Must: UK or / and USA
  • Nice to have: Other European countries

SME or micro business that went through a high growth period (33%+ yearly growth), either staying within that category or towards being a larger company, OR / AND; Start-up that was still in existence 3-years on, OR / AND; Larger business but working as part of a smaller unit on flagship events.
