Clear Links Support is recruiting for One-to-One Specialist Mentors to support students with disabilities and mental health conditions studying at Edinburgh College.
Responsibilities
- Work with further education students to provide strategies to develop their skills in managing the impact of the condition or impairment on their academic experience, including strategies to manage anxiety, improve concentration, time management, prioritisation of workloads, and creating schedules for work-life balance.
- Support acquisition, recall and retention of information in written and spoken language, and strategies to develop memory, organisation, attention, and numeracy skills.
Pay
Β£28 per hour plus Β£3.38 holiday pay per hour.

Role requirements
- Applicants must have a degree AND one of the following:
- Membership of a relevant professional body such as BACP, NCPS, HCPC, BPS, UKCP, COSCA, UMHAN
- A relevant postgraduate qualification
- Professional experience supporting individuals with disabilities
Desirable experience
- Experience in a similar role within the last five years
- Understanding of the impact of disabilities in the further/higher education context
Location and availability
Applicants must be available to provide in-person support at Edinburgh College Sighthill Campus. Granton and Milton Road campuses are desirable.
