Clear Links Support is a specialist provider of academic support to students in further and higher education. We are recruiting support workers to deliver notetaking support, exam support, practical support assistance and general study assistance to students studying at City of Glasgow College and Kingston University.

Notetaking: Produce an accurate record of the content of academic classes which is then handed over to the student. Applicants must have access to a personal device that can be used for typed notes.

Exam Support: Act as a Reader, Scribe or Prompter, or a combination of these roles in an exam setting:

  • Reader: Read aloud relevant exam material to the student during an examination.
  • Scribe: Write word for word the student’s answers to exam questions.
  • Prompter: Prompt the student to remain focused on the exam paper.

Practical Support Assistance: Assist with practical and mobility support tasks in educational situations and locations.

Study Assistant: Provide a range of enabling strategies complemented by some practical assistance.

The work is flexible, to suit applicants' availability. A range of hours are available, but are subject to support requirements and assigned hours cannot be guaranteed. For City of Glasgow College, applicants must be available for a minimum of 2 days per week Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm. For Kingston University, applicants should have some flexibility Monday - Friday 9am -5pm. We expect work to be available from September 2026 at City of Glasgow College and Kingston University.

Requirements for the role: Applicants must be able to work in person at City of Glasgow College. Applicants for Kingston University must be able to work in person at Kingston Hill and/or Penryn Road campuses. Applicants must have completed at least 1 year of higher education study, or be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of experience. Applicants must have clear and legible handwriting, accurate spelling and grammar, and proficient typing skills. High level written and spoken English language capability is also required. These skills will be assessed before your application is progressed. Applicants must be able to work in a way that promotes the safety and wellbeing of children and young people. By the start of employment, the successful candidate must have permission to work in the UK in accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996. This post is also subject to satisfactory references, a background check under the PVG Scheme (Scotland applicants), as well as other applicable pre‑employment checks.
