My client is recruiting for a Legal Secretary with at least 6 months' experience within a legal environment to join their well-established Litigation and Family Law department in Woodford, London.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their career within a busy and supportive team, providing high-quality secretarial and administrative support to fee earners across both Litigation and Family matters.
The ideal candidate will have the following
- At least 6 months' experience working within a legal secretary or legal administration role
- Previous experience within Litigation and/or Family Law is desirable
- Excellent typing and audio dictation skills
- Strong organisational and diary management abilities
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- High attention to detail
- IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office
- A proactive, enthusiastic and professional approach
- Excellent timekeeping and attendance
- The successful Legal Secretary will undertake duties including, but not limited to:
- Providing secretarial support to Litigation and Family solicitors
- Audio typing and word processing using digital dictation
- Preparing legal correspondence, court documents and bundles
- Managing diaries, appointments and meetings
- Liaising with clients, barristers, courts and third parties
- Opening new files and maintaining accurate case records
- Filing, scanning, photocopying and general administrative duties
- Handling incoming and outgoing post
- Assisting with document production and file management
- Providing additional administrative support across the department as required
