Our client is seeking a Senior Property Lawyer to join their Hastings, East Sussex offices on a Hybrid working basis.
Key Duties Managing on a day-to-day basis a caseload within the Transactional Team which includes all aspects of the conveyancing transaction from instruction to completion, registration and closure of the file.
Daily tasks include
- Ensuring due diligence in all areas of processing a residential property transaction
- Use the OMS to progress cases efficiently and to the timescales set
- Accountable for all other dealings with other lawyers and other legal aspects on all property transactions
- Assess risk on every transaction by using skills to make pragmatic decisions and to ensure appropriate legal advice is given
• Draft legal documents, to include
- Standard Precedent Letters
- Contract packs
- Exchange letters
- Freehold AP1s
- Freeform letters
• Post Completion works to include
- Preparing and sending applications to the Land Registry
- Stamp Duty Land Tax submissions
- File closures
- Checking account ledgers Skills Required
- 2+ Years relevant experience would be ideal.
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and Outlook is essential
