My client is seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Property Fee Earner to join their growing property team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded legal professional who is looking to manage a varied caseload and play an integral role within a well-established practice.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing your own caseload of commercial property matters from instruction through to completion, providing high-quality legal advice and delivering an excellent client experience. The caseload will include:
- Commercial property acquisitions and disposals
- Buying and selling retail premises, including shops, takeaways and other commercial units
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial leases
- Lease renewals, assignments and variations
- Advising landlords and tenants on a range of commercial property matters
- Acting on small-scale development projects
- Advising on planning-related matters, including the relevant provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990
- Liaising with clients, agents, lenders and other professionals throughout transactions
- Business development and maintaining strong client relationships
Candidates with experience in commercial landlord and tenant matters will be particularly welcomed, although this is not essential.
About You
- Experience managing a commercial property caseload
- Strong knowledge of commercial leases and freehold acquisitions and disposals
- Experience dealing with retail and mixed-use commercial premises
- Familiarity with planning matters relating to small developments, including aspects of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters effectively
- A proactive and commercially focused approach
