My client is seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Property Fee Earner to join their growing property team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded legal professional who is looking to manage a varied caseload and play an integral role within a well-established practice.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing your own caseload of commercial property matters from instruction through to completion, providing high-quality legal advice and delivering an excellent client experience. The caseload will include:

  • Commercial property acquisitions and disposals
  • Buying and selling retail premises, including shops, takeaways and other commercial units
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial leases
  • Lease renewals, assignments and variations
  • Advising landlords and tenants on a range of commercial property matters
  • Acting on small-scale development projects
  • Advising on planning-related matters, including the relevant provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990
  • Liaising with clients, agents, lenders and other professionals throughout transactions
  • Business development and maintaining strong client relationships

Candidates with experience in commercial landlord and tenant matters will be particularly welcomed, although this is not essential.

About You

  • Experience managing a commercial property caseload
  • Strong knowledge of commercial leases and freehold acquisitions and disposals
  • Experience dealing with retail and mixed-use commercial premises
  • Familiarity with planning matters relating to small developments, including aspects of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990
  • Excellent client care and communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters effectively
  • A proactive and commercially focused approach
