An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor (NQ to 3 years’ PQE) to join a growing Contentious Probate Team in Norwich, Norfolk. This is a strong opportunity for a junior solicitor looking to develop their career within a collaborative and forward-thinking team, managing a varied caseload of contentious probate matters with appropriate supervision and support.
The Role
- Managing and assisting on a range of contentious probate matters, including:
- Disputes between beneficiaries, executors and trustees
- Contentious aspects of estate and trust administration
- Preparation and review of legal documents ahead of hearings
- Case management from instruction through to resolution
- Supporting senior fee earners on complex matters
- Contributing to business development and team initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and file management requirements
You will be expected to work both independently (with supervision as required) and collaboratively with colleagues across the team.
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor (NQ – 3 PQE)
- Experience or strong interest in contentious probate and trusts
- Ability to manage a caseload with appropriate supervision
- Strong analytical skills and sound legal judgement
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
