A growing law firm is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Fee Earner to join their team in Manchester.
This role involves managing a varied caseload of litigated personal injury matters, providing high-quality legal advice and delivering excellent client service.
The successful candidate will have experience handling personal injury litigation, a strong understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules and the ability to manage a busy caseload while working towards team and financial objectives.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing a caseload of personal injury litigation matters, including:
- Handling litigated personal injury claims including RTA, EL and PL matters
- Managing cases from initial instruction through to resolution
- Advising clients throughout the litigation process and providing clear, practical guidance
- Drafting court documents, witness statements and instructions to counsel
- Reviewing evidence, conducting investigations and developing case strategies
- Managing deadlines, compliance requirements and service level agreements
- Handling credit hire matters and related legal issues where applicable
- Working towards agreed financial and performance targets
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients, colleagues and external stakeholders
- Ensuring all files are managed in line with internal procedures and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Previous experience managing litigated personal injury claims
- Experience handling small claims and fast track matters
- Strong working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules
- Ability to draft court documents, witness statements and instructions to counsel
- Experience dealing with RTA and/or EL/PL claims
- Good understanding of credit hire principles and relevant case law would be advantageous
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy caseload and meet deadlines
- Commercial awareness with a proactive approach to case management
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office; experience using LEAP would be advantageous
