We are recruiting for an experienced Audit Manager to join a growing professional services team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified audit professional to take ownership of a varied client portfolio, lead audit teams and build strong client relationships.

As Audit Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of a portfolio of audit engagements, ensuring work is completed to a high technical and professional standard, on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities include

  • Managing a portfolio of audit clients, including planning, execution, review and completion of engagements.
  • Leading and supporting audit teams, including Assistant Managers and Seniors.
  • Reviewing audit files to ensure compliance with ISAs and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Managing budgets, WIP, billing and recoverability across your portfolio.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients and developing strong, trusted relationships.
  • Identifying and resolving technical, commercial and client issues proactively.
  • Coaching, developing and providing feedback to junior team members.
  • Working closely with senior leadership on portfolio management, risk and key audit issues.
  • Supporting business development activities, including tenders and client pitches.
  • Contributing to team training, recruitment and wider departmental initiatives.
  • Ensuring appropriate client onboarding, AML and quality requirements are met.

About You

You will ideally have

  • ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 2 years' post-qualification experience.
  • 7+ years' audit experience, preferably within professional practice.
  • Proven experience managing an audit portfolio and leading audit teams.
  • Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and regulatory requirements.
