We are recruiting for an experienced Audit Manager to join a growing professional services team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified audit professional to take ownership of a varied client portfolio, lead audit teams and build strong client relationships.
As Audit Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of a portfolio of audit engagements, ensuring work is completed to a high technical and professional standard, on time and within budget.
Key responsibilities include
- Managing a portfolio of audit clients, including planning, execution, review and completion of engagements.
- Leading and supporting audit teams, including Assistant Managers and Seniors.
- Reviewing audit files to ensure compliance with ISAs and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Managing budgets, WIP, billing and recoverability across your portfolio.
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients and developing strong, trusted relationships.
- Identifying and resolving technical, commercial and client issues proactively.
- Coaching, developing and providing feedback to junior team members.
- Working closely with senior leadership on portfolio management, risk and key audit issues.
- Supporting business development activities, including tenders and client pitches.
- Contributing to team training, recruitment and wider departmental initiatives.
- Ensuring appropriate client onboarding, AML and quality requirements are met.
About You
You will ideally have
- ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification.
- At least 2 years' post-qualification experience.
- 7+ years' audit experience, preferably within professional practice.
- Proven experience managing an audit portfolio and leading audit teams.
- Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and regulatory requirements.
