Due to continued growth, my client is looking for an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join their highly regarded team in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire offices.

The Role

  • Assisting with residential sale, purchase, remortgage and transfer of equity transactions from instruction through to completion.
  • Managing aspects of the conveyancing process with minimal supervision.
  • Liaising with clients, solicitors, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other third parties.
  • Preparing legal documentation and correspondence.
  • Handling post-completion matters, including registrations and Stamp Duty submissions.
  • Maintaining accurate case files and ensuring matters progress efficiently.
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and internal procedures.

Skills & Experience

  • A minimum of 3–4 years' experience in residential conveyancing.
  • A sound understanding of the conveyancing process from instruction to post-completion.
  • The ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and client care skills.
  • Experience of AML, GDPR, cyber security and fraud prevention requirements within a legal environment.
  • A proactive, professional and positive approach to work.
