My Client is looking for a Newly Qualified Solicitor to join their busy Wills & Probate Department in their Horwich office.
You'll work alongside experienced colleagues, gaining exposure to a broad range of Private Client matters while developing your technical knowledge and building your own caseload.
Key Responsibilities
Manage your own developing caseload of Private Client matters with appropriate supervision.
Advise clients on
- Wills
- Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
- Probate and Estate Administration
- Court of Protection matters
- Draft Wills, LPAs and other Private Client documentation.
- Prepare and submit Probate Registry applications.
- Deliver a compassionate, professional service to elderly, vulnerable and bereaved clients.
- Attend appointments at the office, clients' homes and care settings where required.
- Maintain accurate case records using the case management system.
- Prepare correspondence and legal documentation to a high standard.
- Ensure files are managed efficiently and deadlines are met.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide an excellent client experience.
- Take an active role in your own professional development and continuous learning.
About You
- Qualified Solicitor status (or is due to qualify shortly).
- A genuine interest in developing a career in Private Client law.
- Good technical knowledge of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Estate Administration.
- An interest in working towards STEP accreditation.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good IT skills and experience using case management systems.
- Strong interpersonal and client care skills.
- A compassionate, professional approach when supporting vulnerable and bereaved clients.
- A positive, proactive and enthusiastic attitude.
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a supportive team.
- A full driving licence and access to a car for business travel (preferred).
