My client is seeking a Head of Finance to ensure adherence to legal and professional standards. You will act as the financial coordinator across the business, overseeing billing, reporting, compliance, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full billing cycle, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing
- Monitor payments and proactively follow up on outstanding balances
- Maintain precise financial transaction records
- Strengthen fee earner client relationships through transparent financial communication
- Financial Reporting
- Provide clear insight into the firm’s financial health
- Produce reports that support strategic decision-making
- Ensure compliance with legal accounting standards
- General Accounting Duties
- Supervision and monitoring of the accounts function
- Monitor income, expenditure, and budget adherence
- Post monthly journals (accruals, prepayments, payroll)
- Process VAT returns
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Manage payroll processing and PAYE/NI payments
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Manage SAR audits and liaise with banks and HMRC
