Our client, a well-established and growing law firm, is seeking a Conveyancing Paralegal to join their busy Residential Property team in Basildon, Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous conveyancing experience to further develop their career within a supportive and professional environment. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced fee earners, assisting with a varied caseload of residential property matters from instruction through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting fee earners with the management of residential conveyancing transactions
- Opening new files and carrying out AML, ID and conflict checks
- Preparing contracts, transfer deeds and other legal documentation
- Ordering searches and reviewing search results
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and solicitors to progress transactions
- Preparing completion statements and requesting mortgage funds
- Managing post-exchange and pre-completion requirements
- Maintaining accurate case management records and ensuring files are kept up to date
- Providing general administrative support to the conveyancing department
Experience
- Previous experience as a Conveyancing Paralegal or within a residential conveyancing support role
- Good understanding of the residential conveyancing process
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
