My client is a well-established and highly respected independent accountancy and business advisory firm, recognised for delivering specialist financial and tax advice to a broad portfolio of clients.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Accounts & Advisory Manager to manage a portfolio of clients, deliver high-quality accountancy and tax advisory services, and support the development of both the team and the wider business.
Purpose of the Role
To manage and develop a client portfolio by delivering expert accountancy, tax planning and advisory services while building strong client relationships and supporting business growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients, providing high-quality accountancy, tax compliance and advisory services.
- Prepare and review accounts, tax computations and advisory work, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance.
- Provide advice across a range of tax matters, identifying planning opportunities and delivering tailored solutions.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser.
- Lead, mentor and develop junior team members through coaching and technical support.
- Manage workflow, work in progress and billing to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Identify business development opportunities and support the growth of existing and new client relationships.
- Work collaboratively across the wider business to deliver an exceptional client experience.
Requirements
- ACA, ACCA and/or CTA qualified.
- Previous experience managing a client portfolio within an accountancy practice.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and taxation.
- Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercially minded with the ability to identify opportunities and provide practical client solutions.
- A proactive approach with strong leadership and team development skills.
