Our client is seeking an experienced AML Analyst to join its Compliance team in London.
The role will be focusing on client onboarding and due diligence within a professional services environment.
You will be involved with working with corporate clients and complex ownership structures, requiring someone who can apply a practical, risk-based approach to AML rather than simply following prescribed processes.
The successful candidate will ideally come from a legal, accountancy or similar professional services environment and have experience dealing with complex entities, including overseas structures, trusts, foundations and funds.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing end-to-end AML client onboarding and due diligence for new corporate clients
- Reviewing complex corporate and ownership structures and identifying beneficial owners and PSCs
- Conducting electronic verification and other appropriate client due diligence checks
- Applying a risk-based approach to assess clients and identify potential AML risks
- Undertaking Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) on higher-risk clients and structures
- Conducting sanctions, PEP and adverse media screening and assessing relevant findings
