Employers Liability And Public Liability Paralegal - Up To £26,000 A Year

Role: Paralegal - Financial Mis-selling Location: Manchester Salary: up to £26,000 A well-established and growing law firm in Manchester is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join its litigation team. The firm handles a varied caseload of consumer and commercial disputes and is looking for a motivated individual who is comfortable managing a busy workload, working closely with senior fee earners and progressing matters from initial assessment through to resolution. The Role You will assist with a range of litigation matters and be responsible for tasks including: Reviewing new claims and carrying out initial legal research; Drafting correspondence, witness statements, applications and other legal documents; Communicating with clients, solicitors, Counsel and third parties; Managing case files, deadlines, hearings and key documentation; Assistingwith settlement discussions and dispute resolution; Preparingmatters for hearings and trial; Maintaining accurate records and updating the firm's case management system; Supporting solicitors and senior team members with the progression of claims. About You The successful candidate will ideally have: A law degree or equivalent legal qualification; Previous experience working as a paralegal or within a legal claims environment; Strong written and verbal communication skills; Excellentorganisation and attention to detail; The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines; Confidence working independently and as part of a team; Good Microsoft Office and general IT skills; A professional,client-focused approach. Experience managing your own files or working within litigation, financial disputes or consumer claims would be advantageous, but is not essential.
