  • Regulatory enquiries: Drafting and coordinating responses to "Dear CEO" letters, thematic reviews, and ad-hoc regulatory information requests. Managing regulatory visits and attending supervisory meetings.
  • Regulatory rules: as regulators indicate guidance or rules, inform the business promptly, advise on the applicability and assist converting these into business actionable items.
  • Licensing & Reporting
  • Licenses: Project-managing and ‘holding the pen’ on new licence applications and variations of permission by coordinating the necessary operational, financial, and product inputs from the wider business.
  • Regulatory returns: Overseeing the regulatory reporting schedule and ensuring the timely filing of routine regulatory returns.
  • Expansion: Conducting initial regulatory feasibility assessments for new markets to determine if licensing or registration is required before escalating to other teams.
  • Horizon Scanning & Advocacy
  • Regulatory changes: Tracking the rapidly evolving global regulatory landscape specifically impacting payments, stablecoins, and other fintech areas of interest.
  • Industry advocacy: Representing the business at industry trade associations, working groups, and roundtable events to advocate for the company's position. Drafting consultation responses, briefing papers, and comment letters to help shape emerging regulatory frameworks in a risk-sensitive, pro-innovation manner.
  • SMT briefings: Producing reports and briefings for the Board and C-suite on upcoming policy risks, regulatory trajectories, and how they impact the company's broader business strategy.
  • Cross-Functional Advisory & Internal Strategy
  • Product support: translating high-level policy objectives and regulatory expectations into practical, actionable requirements for the Product, Compliance, and Operations (and other) teams.
  • Internal education: support fostering a strong regulatory culture by educating internal stakeholders on evolving industry standards and regulatory expectations.
