Clear Judgment is an independent investigations and high-stakes decision support practice. We help clients understand who and what is actually on the other side of a transaction, investment, dispute, partnership, onboarding file, or reputational risk event. The work includes founder and counterparty diligence, M&A and pre-investment review, asset tracing, fraud and tax investigations, crypto tracing and attribution, sanctions/KYC/EDD, source-of-wealth files, litigation support, pre-IPO review, executive and board hiring checks, and private-client matters.
The role involves originating qualified opportunities and helping turn them into paid engagements. This means opening the right conversations, explaining where Clear Judgment is useful, identifying live client problems, taking or joining sales calls, and helping move serious prospects toward yes. You are not expected to run investigations, define methodology, create scopes, invent pricing, negotiate technical details, or manage delivery. I handle that.
You bring commercial access and sales judgment: who needs this, why now, how to frame it, and how to get the right person into the room.
Compensation: Revenue share: 50/50 on engagements you originate and help close, paid when the client pays. Typical engagements are $3K–$15K depending on scope. Larger matters, retainers, and follow-on work are possible where the client has recurring diligence or investigation needs.
Best fit: This works best if you already know how to sell high-trust professional services, or you have access to people who regularly face risk around deals, people, assets, counterparties, money, litigation, reputation, or compliance. Relevant networks include:
- VC, PE, family offices, private investment
- Law firms, disputes, enforcement, asset recovery
- M&A, corporate finance, strategic exits
- Crypto, fintech, exchanges, OTC, Web3 investors
- PR, crisis communications, reputation advisory
- Private client, wealth, offshore, source-of-wealth work
- Executive search, board advisory, senior hiring
You do not need to be an investigator. You do need to understand trust-based selling.
This is not for you if:
- You need a fixed salary from day one.
- You are looking for a junior sales role.
- You mainly rely on cold outbound volume.
- You want to build a sales department before there is revenue.
This is for you if:
- You know how to spot situations where someone is asking:
- “Can we trust this founder?”
- “Who really controls this company?”
- “Where did the money come from?”
- “What will banks, investors, regulators, underwriters, or counterparties find later?”
- “Are we about to make an expensive mistake?”
If this sounds like the right kind of commercial opportunity, send me a short note with:
- the market or network you know best;
- one client type you would approach first;
- why this work would be useful to them.
No formal CV needed. I care more about network, judgment, and ability to open the right doors.
