We are seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to join our Winchester Accounts team. This role offers the opportunity to lead and develop the accounts team, manage a varied client portfolio, and contribute to high-quality accounts preparation within a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Hybrid and flexible working options are available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Line manage and develop staff within the accounts team.
- Oversee workflow and ensure high standards in the preparation of statutory accounts (FRS102, FRS102 1A, and FRS105).
- Manage incoming accounts work, allocate resources efficiently, and highlight potential gaps.
- Review accounts and corporation tax computations and returns.
- Liaise with clients and Partners to resolve queries and communicate key points.
- Manage a mixed portfolio of FRS105, FRS102 1A accounts, and unincorporated businesses.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of accounts workflow procedures.
Candidate Requirements:
- ACA or ACCA qualified with at least 3 years post-qualified experience in UK practice.
- Minimum 2 years management experience.
- Strong UK GAAP / financial reporting knowledge.
- Experience in charity accounts and independent examinations preferred.
- Excellent communication, client management, and interpersonal skills.
- Confident, professional, and proactive with strong IT skills, particularly Excel.
- Team player able to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Employment Details:
- Full-time, permanent role.
- Hybrid working: three days in-office, up to two days remote.
- Flexible working around core hours (10am–4pm).
