My client is a growing Top 30 professional services firm with a dynamic Private Client team, including a specialist Trusts function. Due to continued growth, the Trusts sub-team is seeking a Trust Consultant to assist in managing a diverse portfolio of UK and offshore trusts, supporting high-net-worth individuals, families, and trustees both in the UK and internationally.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with existing trust experience to join a successful, expanding team, gain exposure to complex client work, and develop their career with full study support towards CTA or STEP qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management of a varied portfolio of UK and offshore trust clients.
  • Prepare or review trust accounts, tax returns, and IHT 10-year/exit charge calculations under supervision.
  • Support senior team members in advising trustees and beneficiaries on distributions and UK reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC Trust Registration Service (TRS) rules.
  • Assist with drafting advisory reports on UK and offshore trust structures.
  • Contribute to trust and estate tax planning projects and identify opportunities for clients.
  • Liaise with clients and third-party advisers in a professional and timely manner.
  • Support and learn from more senior team members, developing both technical and advisory skills.

What You’ll Need:

  • ATT qualification (essential).
  • Experience working with trusts – ideally including compliance and tax return preparation.
  • Strong interest in developing a career in private client and trust taxation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organised with good attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (experience with CCH or Digita desirable).
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to study towards CTA or STEP (full support provided).
