An established and growing law firm is seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance Manager to join their team in Trowbridge, Wiltshire. You will take ownership of the firm’s regulatory, risk, and compliance framework. This is a key role with responsibility for safeguarding the business, supporting senior management, and ensuring the firm operates in line with regulatory obligations and internal policies. The position would suit someone with prior experience in a legal or professional services environment who is confident operating at both a strategic and operational level.
Key Responsibilities- Overall responsibility for the firm’s risk and compliance function
- Identifying, assessing, and managing regulatory and operational risks
- Ensuring compliance with SRA regulations, AML requirements, GDPR, and other relevant legislation
- Maintaining and developing firm-wide policies and procedures
- Acting as a point of contact for compliance-related queries across the business
- Supporting audits, reviews, and regulatory reporting
- Monitoring regulatory changes and advising on their impact
- Delivering compliance training and guidance to partners and staff
- Working closely with senior management to embed a strong compliance culture
- Proven experience in a risk and compliance role, ideally within a legal environment
