Private Client Paralegal in Surbiton

A well-established and highly regarded firm of solicitors based in Surbiton, London is seeking an experienced Private Client Paralegal to join its growing Private Client Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an established paralegal to become part of a dedicated and supportive team within a stable, long-standing practice. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive support to solicitors across the full range of private client matters, with genuine scope to progress towards a fee-earning role. The Role The position will involve hands-on involvement in private client matters from initial instruction through to conclusion. The role requires an individual who is able to operate with minimal supervision and contribute immediately to the effective running of the department. Key Responsibilities • Supporting solicitors throughout all stages of estate administration • Assisting with the preparation and administration of probate matters • Drafting and processing Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney • Completing and submitting Probate and Inheritance Tax documentation • Inputting and maintaining accurate data on the firm’s case management system • Managing correspondence with clients, beneficiaries, HMRC, and third parties • Maintaining well-organised and compliant client files • Handling elements of own caseload where appropriate • Ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with firm procedures Candidate Profile • Minimum of 1 years’ current experience within Probate and Private Client work • Strong working knowledge of the probate process and Inheritance Tax forms • Practical experience dealing with Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney • Confident use of legal case management systems; experience with Isokon is advantageous • Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills • Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of clients • Capable of working independently while contributing positively to a team environment • High standard of written English with fast, accurate typing skills What’s on Offer • Competitive salary, negotiable depending on experience • Immediate start available • Opportunity to join a growing Private Client team within a respected firm • Clear scope for progression towards a fee-earning position • Supportive, collaborative working environment Should you have any questions or wish to apply please do not hesitate to contact Clear Legal Recruitment Limited.
