My client, a well-established and growing professional services firm, is seeking an experienced Tax Adviser to join their Agriculture and Property Tax team. This role will involve delivering high-quality tax compliance and advisory services to a varied client portfolio, including business owners, partnerships, high-net-worth individuals, and associated trusts and companies.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong and commercially minded tax professional to play a key role in a specialist team, working closely with managers, directors, and partners while supporting the continued development of the practice.
Responsibilities- Manage tax compliance for a mixed portfolio of clients, including individuals, partnerships, businesses, trusts, and related entities.
- Support managers, directors, and partners on a range of complex tax advisory projects, ensuring technical accuracy and a pragmatic, commercial approach.
- Deliver tax planning and advisory work including:
- Inheritance Tax planning and appraisals
- Capital Gains Tax planning and compliance
- VAT and Stamp Duty Land Tax advice
- Strong technical knowledge across personal and business taxation.
- Good understanding of Capital Taxes, including CGT and IHT.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and high standards of technical accuracy.
- Commercially aware with a client-focused mindset.
- Confident working collaboratively and contributing ideas.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and tax software, with experience interacting with HMRC online services.
- ACA, ACCA and/or CTA qualified.
- Minimum of 3 yearsβ experience in a tax role within a practice environment.
