An established and client-focused accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join its team on a part-time basis.
Role:
- Manage a portfolio of client accounts and maintain accurate financial records
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts and financial reports
- Assist with bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and ledger maintenance
- Prepare and review VAT returns and support HMRC compliance requirements
- Support payroll processing and maintain payroll-related records where required
- Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, and client financial transactions
- Assist with year-end accounts preparation and liaise with senior accountants and external stakeholders
- Analyse financial information and identify discrepancies or areas requiring attention
- Act as a key point of contact for clients regarding accounting and financial queries
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and provide support on routine accounting matters
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company procedures, and HMRC regulations
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and support implementation of enhanced systems and procedures
Requirements:
- ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification
