An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Property Development Solicitor to join my clients team in their Reading, Berkshire offices on a hybrid basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to join my clients Development & House Building team. You will be assisting fee earners on transactional matters and working collaboratively on a variety of development related transactions.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Supporting fee earners with drafting option agreements, deeds, and contracts. • Undertaking due diligence and preparing reports. • Assisting with acquisitions and disposals of development land, plot sales, planning, and construction matters. • Supporting secured acquisition and development finance transactions. • Learning about and contributing to processes and documents for plot sales.• Training seminars and workshop programmes for employer clients. • Communicating with team members, clients, and third parties involved in transactions. • Developing knowledge of the planning system and its implications for development transactions. • Participating in business development activities and building relationships within the development community. • Identifying risks and concerns, and proposing practical and commercial solutions.
Skills, Attributes & Experience:
• Some experience and an interest in development transactions is required. • Strong drafting skills, verbal and written communication skills. • Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to break down complex tasks into manageable components. • Enthusiasm to learn, ask questions, and share opinions. • A practical and commercial mindset, with resourcefulness and a strong work ethic. • You must also be able to apply the law with a degree of commerciality and be prepared to give your viewpoint to clients. • Willingness to engage in marketing and business development activities
