Our client, based in East Sussex, is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to join its specialist tax team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of bookkeeping and VAT clients, ensuring work is completed accurately and on time.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and CIS returns.
- Complete bookkeeping assignments for a range of businesses using cloud accounting software.
- Prepare management accounts and support financial reporting requirements.
- Assist with accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
- Monitor deadlines and manage workload effectively across multiple client assignments.
- Maintain regular communication with managers regarding assignment progress and client requirements.
Candidate Profile
- 3-5 years bookkeeping experience, ideally gained within an accountancy practice.
- Strong bookkeeping and VAT experience is essential.
- Accounts preparation experience would be advantageous.
- AAT qualified or studying towards AAT is desirable but not essential.
- Proficient in Xero, QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office.
