My client is seeking a Residential Property Solicitor to join their team in Wimbledon, London. This role offers the opportunity to work on a varied caseload of residential property transactions, providing expert legal advice and high-quality client service. Key Deliverables: • Provide clear, practical, and timely legal advice to clients on all aspects of residential property transactions including sales, purchases, leases, and mortgage matters. • Take full responsibility for cases from inception through to completion, ensuring all client needs are met efficiently. • Keep abreast of relevant legal developments and industry practice changes affecting residential property law. • Handle confidential and sensitive client information professionally and discreetly. • Manage diaries, schedules, and attend client meetings, ensuring effective communication throughout the transaction process. • Liaise effectively with external parties including estate agents, mortgage brokers, surveyors, and other solicitors. • Manage own time and workload effectively, supporting colleagues and contributing to the smooth running of the team. • Provide regular case updates and reports to colleagues and clients as required. • Ensure all paper and electronic files are maintained to the highest standards, with accurate and timely completion of all necessary documentation. • Keep client records up to date on the firm’s case management system, ensuring all chargeable time is accurately recorded. • Adhere strictly to the firm’s policies, procedures, and use of standard precedents. • Foster strong relationships with clients, anticipating their needs to deliver exceptional service and develop long-term business connections. • Identify opportunities to refer clients to other specialist departments within the firm. • Achieve individual and team fee-earning targets, contributing positively to the firm’s overall business objectives. Person Specification: • Qualified solicitor with current Practising Certificate and a minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience in residential property law. • Proven experience managing a demanding caseload independently and efficiently. • Excellent drafting skills with the ability to prepare clear, accurate, and succinct legal documents. • Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex legal issues clearly to clients and colleagues alike. • Client-focused approach with a genuine desire to deliver excellent service and build lasting client relationships. • Commercially aware, understanding the importance of financial success for the firm and clients, and able to negotiate effectively on their behalf. • Highly organised, able to plan, prioritise, and manage multiple conflicting demands with ease. • Effective team player with the ability to liaise and cooperate with others, recognising individual strengths and limitations. • Professional, credible, and proactive in promoting the firm and its services both internally and externally.
