Our client is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant or Paralegal to join their Commercial Conveyancing department, based in Bexleyheath, Kent. This role sits within a busy and collaborative team, supporting fee earners with a range of administrative and client-facing duties to ensure the smooth progression of transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls and liaise with clients, agents, and third parties
  • Provide conveyancing quotes to prospective clients
  • Open new files and maintain accurate records
  • Prepare and complete legal forms, including AP1 applications
  • Undertake typing duties, including dictation work
  • Assist fee earners with general case management tasks
  • Carry out general administrative tasks such as printing, scanning, and post handling
  • Provide ad hoc support to team members as required
  • Ensure files and documentation are maintained to a high standard

Requirements / Skills / Experience:

  • Previous experience in a Legal Assistant or similar role within conveyancing
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confident communication skills, both telephone and written
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
