My client, a wellâestablished Top 100 Accountancy firm with a strong presence across the entertainment, sports and creative sectors, is seeking an experienced Private Client Tax Manager to join their expanding team. You\âll oversee a diverse portfolio of HNWIs, nonâdomiciled individuals, partners, directors, and private clients across a range of sectors.
Role OverviewYou will manage the delivery of highâquality private client tax compliance and advisory services, lead and develop a team of tax staff, and work closely with Partners on complex planning projects. This role offers autonomy, client ownership, and strong prospects for progression.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a varied portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring compliance work is delivered accurately and on time
Review complex SelfâAssessment tax returns and advise on technical matters
Lead advisory projects covering residence/domicile, CGT, IHT, wealth structuring and estate planning
Act as key point of contact for clients, building strong longâterm relationships
Manage HMRC interactions and oversee detailed correspondence
Supervise, mentor and develop junior team members
Monitor workflow, billing and WIP, ensuring efficient portfolio management
Conduct technical research and support Partners with bespoke consultancy work
Requirements
Extensive experience in Private Client Tax within practice (Manager level or an experienced Assistant Manager ready to step up)
CTA qualified (ACA/ACCA advantageous) or extensive practice experience in personal/private client tax
Strong technical knowledge across income tax, CGT, IHT, residence and domicile
Proven client management and team leadership skills
Excellent communication, organisation and problemâsolving ability
