My client, a Top 50+50 firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers with over 300 staff across 16 offices in the South West, is seeking a People Officer to join their HR team on a fixed term contract (2026 – 2027) to cover maternity leave. The role supports Learning & Development and Talent Acquisition across the business and offers hybrid working from most Devon and Somerset offices, with occasional travel to Exeter and Plymouth. Key Responsibilities: • Coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities, including inductions and career events. • Support Partners and Directors with training design and delivery. • Manage training administration, CPD tracking, and relationships with providers. • Deliver and promote wellbeing and learning initiatives across the firm. • Assist in organising firmwide training and wellbeing events. About You: • Previous experience in HR, Learning & Development, or Talent Acquisition. • Organised, approachable, and confident managing multiple priorities. • Strong communication and IT skills (Microsoft Office; Canva desirable). • Passionate about people development and wellbeing.
