Due to ongoing expansion, my client is currently looking to recruit a Legal Secretary for their expanding conveyancing team in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire Office. The role offers a stable, friendly working environment and the opportunity to work closely with fee-earners across a wide range of conveyancing and property-related matters. This position is well suited to someone with previous legal secretarial experience, ideally within property, who is organised, proactive, and confident liaising with clients and third parties.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality secretarial and administrative support to the Property department
- Preparing, amending and formatting legal documents and correspondence
- Managing diaries, scheduling appointments and handling telephone enquiries
- Opening and closing files, conducting Land Registry searches, and completing SDLT forms
- Preparing Completion Statements and assisting with invoicing
- Liaising with clients, solicitors, agents and other stakeholders
- Ensuring all work is produced accurately, efficiently and in line with firm procedures
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary within a law firm (essential)
- Experience supporting a Property/Conveyancing team (highly desirable)
- Fast, accurate typing and strong document production skills
- Excellent organisational skills and a strong attention to detail
- Confident communicator with a proactive, professional approach
- Able to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines in a busy environment
