The Role: As an Accounts Associate, you will support the preparation of accounts and financial information for a varied portfolio of clients while developing your technical knowledge within a collaborative and supportive team. This role is ideal for someone looking to further their career within practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts for a range of clients.
- Support the preparation of management accounts, reconciliations and financial reports.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, responding to routine queries.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure deadlines are met and work is completed to a high standard.
- Assist with reviewing financial information and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment and continue developing your technical skills.
Skills & Experience:
- AAT qualified or currently studying towards AAT.
- Previous experience within an accountancy practice or similar finance environment.
- Good understanding of accounts preparation.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Competent using Microsoft Office, with experience of Xero or other cloud accounting software desirable.
- Personal tax knowledge would be advantageous but is not essential.
