My client is an established, director-led Accountancy practice that supports business owners and company directors at every stage of their business journey, from start-up and growth through to succession and exit planning. They also provide personal financial and tax planning services, helping clients achieve long-term financial security. As part of an international network, they have access to extensive UK and overseas expertise, providing excellent support for both clients and employees.

Purpose

The Outsourcing Manager will oversee a portfolio of clients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality management accounts, VAT returns, and financial reporting services. The role combines client management, team leadership, and digital accounting expertise to support business growth and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients and oversee delivery of management accounts, VAT returns, forecasting, and reporting
  • Review financial information and ensure quality and compliance standards are maintained
  • Lead, support, and develop team members while managing workloads and deadlines
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact
  • Drive the adoption of cloud accounting systems and identify process improvement opportunities
  • Support client onboarding and identify opportunities to expand services

Requirements

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified, or qualified by experience
  • Proven experience within accounting, finance, or outsourced accounting services
  • Experience managing a client portfolio and leading teams
  • Strong knowledge of UK accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Experience with cloud accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks Online, and Sage
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercially aware, proactive, and client-focused
