Our client is a well-established and highly regarded UK accountancy and business advisory firm with a long heritage and an excellent reputation for technical quality and client service. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Corporate Tax Senior Manager or Director to join their growing London-based corporate tax team. This role would suit an ambitious tax professional with strong corporate tax compliance experience who is also keen to be involved in advisory work, client development and mentoring junior staff. The client portfolio is varied and includes owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurial companies, larger corporates, multinational groups and FCA-regulated entities.
The Role
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of corporate tax compliance across a diverse portfolio, whilst supporting senior leadership on advisory and strategic matters.
- Play a key role in developing and supporting the wider tax team.
- Preparation and review of corporation tax computations and tax returns for a varied client portfolio.
- Preparation and review of deferred tax calculations for inclusion in statutory accounts.
- Reviewing draft financial statements and identifying relevant tax issues.
- Managing HMRC correspondence, including drafting and reviewing responses.
- Supporting junior team members with technical queries and compliance delivery.
- Assisting Partners with ad-hoc corporate tax advisory work, including structuring and transactional support.
- Ensuring all work is delivered to a high technical standard and in line with internal risk and quality procedures.
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients on corporate tax matters.
Requirements
- CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
- Strong corporate tax experience gained within a UK accountancy practice.
- Experience reviewing corporation tax computations and returns.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and client relationships.
- Strong technical knowledge and a commercial, client-focused approach.
