An established and growing UK-based accounting software provider is seeking a commercially focused Accounting Software Account Manager to manage and develop its client portfolio. This hybrid role combines account management, client success, and full-cycle sales. You will manage existing client relationships, oversee onboarding and training, drive renewals and upsells, and support new business opportunities from lead qualification through to close.
Role
- Manage a portfolio of existing clients and act as primary point of contact
- Deliver onboarding, training, and tailored product demonstrations
- Drive renewals, upselling, and cross-selling opportunities
- Support the full sales cycle including proposals and negotiations
- Maintain CRM records, pipeline forecasting, and revenue targets
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure high client satisfaction
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience with accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping and financial reporting
- Experience in account management, sales, or client-facing roles
- Commercially driven with excellent communication skills
- Comfortable working in a hybrid role including client visits
