Our client, a well-established national charity, is seeking an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor to join their in-house legal team on a temporary basis in Northampton, Northamptonshire. This role will lead on complex commercial property matters across a varied portfolio, supporting key stakeholders and ensuring the effective management of transactional and contentious property issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on acquisitions, disposals, leases, renewals, and other complex property transactions
  • Draft and negotiate a wide range of legal and transactional documentation
  • Advise internal stakeholders on property-related legal matters
  • Provide advice and representation on property litigation matters
  • Manage matters relating to the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, including notices and lease renewals
  • Negotiate lease extensions and resolve disputes with landlords and third parties
  • Act as a key legal advisor to internal teams and senior stakeholders
  • Liaise with external parties including landlords, agents, and legal representatives
  • Support the Head of Legal, including mentoring or supervising junior team members where required
  • Identify and manage medium to high-risk legal matters
  • Conduct legal research and present findings clearly to stakeholders
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the legal function
