Our client is seeking an experienced Residential Property Lawyer to join their highly regarded Residential Property team in Leatherhead, Surrey. This is an excellent opportunity to join an award-winning firm with an outstanding reputation for client service and expertise within the residential property sector. The successful candidate will be an experienced Residential Property Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Legal Executive with a minimum of 1 years’ post-qualification experience and a proven ability to manage transactions independently from instruction through to completion.

The Role

  • Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
  • Remortgages
  • Transfers of equity
  • Residential property transactions from instruction through to post-completion
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and third-party solicitors
  • Title investigation and reporting
  • Raising and responding to enquiries
  • Managing exchanges and completions
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory and risk management requirements
  • Supervising and mentoring support staff
  • Supporting colleagues across the department where required
  • Participating in networking, marketing and business development activities
  • Maintaining excellent client care standards throughout the transaction process
  • Achieving agreed billing and performance targets
  • Keeping up to date with legal developments and market trends

The Candidate

  • Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Chartered Legal Executive status
  • A minimum of 1 years' post-qualification experience within residential conveyancing
  • Strong technical knowledge across all aspects of residential property transactions
  • Experience managing a caseload independently from start to finish
  • Excellent client care and relationship-building skills
  • Strong communication and organisational abilities
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members or support staff
  • Commercial awareness and enthusiasm for business development
  • Proficiency with case management systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • A proactive, reliable and team-focused approach
