Our client, based in Kent, is excited to announce that they are looking for a new Semi-Senior Accountant. They are an independent accountancy practice providing services to individuals, businesses, and not-for-profit organisations across the UK and Europe. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse client portfolio while developing technical expertise in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with HMRC requirements.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records using cloud accounting software, including Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage.
- Support month-end and year-end accounting processes.
- Assist with Making Tax Digital (MTD) for ITSA, including digital record-keeping and quarterly submissions.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing professional support and guidance.
- Assist in the preparation of financial accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships across a range of industries.
Requirements
- AAT studier or qualified by experience.
- Minimum 2 years experience within an accountancy practice.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, client-focused approach with strong communication skills.
