An opportunity has arisen for an HR Administrator to law firm in Dorking, Surrey. This role supports the HR function across a range of administrative, data, and reporting responsibilities, with a strong focus on maintaining accurate employee records and assisting with payroll and HR analytics. The Role
- Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records across HR systems
- Supporting the full employee lifecycle (onboarding, changes, leavers)
- Preparing contracts, letters, and HR documentation in line with UK employment law
- Acting as a first point of contact for HR queries
- Monitoring absence, annual leave, and employee records
- Supporting payroll and benefits data administration
- Booking training courses and updating training records
- Maintaining HR systems and ensuring data accuracy and integrity
- Producing regular HR reports (headcount, turnover, absence trends)
- Supporting analysis of HR metrics and identifying trends
- Assisting with management reporting and HR audits
- Supporting performance management documentation
- Assisting with recruitment processes including job postings, screening, and interview scheduling
- Supporting onboarding including Right to Work and pre-employment checks
- Assisting with new starter induction and training setup
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in a similar HR or administrative role, ideally within professional services
- Strong attention to detail with an analytical mindset
- Ability to manage, interpret, and present data accurately
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information
- Proactive, reliable, and solution-focused approach
