My client are a leading tax, accountancy and business advisory firm founded on personal integrity and technical expertise. They are looking for a Global Mobility Tax Senior to provide all aspects of Global Mobility Tax and international assignment advice and overseeing the provision of expatriate tax compliance services. One of the main areas you will be working on is reviewing and preparing more complex tax returns and conducting entry and exit consultations with expatriates. Additionally, you will manage your own diverse and interesting client portfolio including advising and guiding clients on the planning and implications involved in international assignments and resolving client queries. Requirements: The candidate should have experience in advising on a wide range of global mobility issues which should ideally include the following areas: Technical expertise: • Speak Mandarin and/ or Cantonese • ATT/and, or CTA Qualified, or other professional qualification with demonstrable relevant experience. • Advanced understanding of core expatriate tax and social security issues. • Confidently interacts with HMRC regarding complex issues on behalf of clients. • Delivers advice confidently in transactional, litigious, or confrontational circumstances. • Self-Assessment and preparation of tax computations. • Advise on specialist payrolls and agreements with HMRC. • Draft report writing and ad hoc advisory work. • Previous supervisory and management experience including reviewing the work of others. • Planning for globally mobile employees • Dealing with enquiries into all aspects of direct taxation including experience of settlement and penalty negotiation. Client experience: • SME (although some multinational client experience is also desirable). • Non-UK domiciled and non-resident clients. • Experience in working with client HR, payroll and tax teams.
