An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employment Solicitor to join my clients team in their Manchester offices on a hybrid basis. My clients employment team is known for pragmatic, commercial advice and “big picture” thinking, with work ranging from complex tribunal litigation to strategic board-level mandates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on employment matters end-to-end across contentious and noncontentious streams, including tribunals, settlement agreement advice, restructures and TUPE.
  • Be a day-to-day strategic adviser to HR leaders and boards, delivering practical, solutions led advice through our large and growing retainer practice.
  • Mentor juniors/trainees and contribute to know-how, training and client updates – within a team that invests in learning.
  • Engage in business development with tangible support from our marketing team (thought leadership, rankings and events).

Skills & Experience:

  • A solid track record of managing your own employment caseload and drafting. Whilst not essential, previous experience of advocacy work would be welcome.
  • Confidence in supervising less experienced colleagues and in delegating effectively within a busy team environment.
  • A clear, commercial communication style and appetite for client development aligned to our business strategy.
