My clients independent, director‑led Accountancy practice works with business owners and directors at every stage of their business lives, from start‑up through to growth and consolidation and on to succession and exit strategies. They also advise clients on personal financial and tax planning issues, to help them achieve security and peace of mind, now and for the future, for themselves and their families.
Purpose
To be a key member of the Tax team, the Corporate Tax Senior Manager or Director will be responsible for running the Corporate Tax compliance service and Corporate Tax team, and undertaking Advisory Projects.
Responsibilities
- Organising - Plan and co‑ordinate the preparation of Corporate Tax returns and managing other compliance processes such as ATED, ERS, EMI and EIS
- Technical & Quality Reviews - Review CT computations prepared by assistants
- Staff Development - Supervise and develop junior staff (both CT staff and those working on CT work from other teams)
- Advisory - Typical assignments include Corporate Restructuring and tax clearances; Share Scheme design and implementation; transfer pricing reviews; CIR calculations and advice; PAYE reviews; Tax Due Diligence; ad hoc technical queries (internal and external); and R&D.
Requirements
- Qualified (CTA or ACA)
- Corporate Tax experience
- Managerial experience - managing a client portfolio
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Corporate Tax in a practice environment
- Line management or supervision of more junior staff with a proven track record of supporting the development of colleagues
- Advisory and tax planning experience covering all taxes with a good understanding of personal taxes and IHT issues affecting business structures
- VAT and PAYE working knowledge
