Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join my clients highly regarded firm in their Leeds offices on a hybrid basis.\\n\\nJob Purpose:\\n\\nTo provide administrative support to Fee Earners dealing with conveyancing transactions in accordance with the Firm’s policies and procedures and otherwise as directed from time to time.\\n\\nDuties will include but not limited to:\\n\\n• Dealing with incoming and outgoing correspondence.\\n• Drafting straightforward enquiries and replies to enquiries under the supervision of a Fee Earner.\\n• Dealing with general conveyancing tasks.\\n• Administer filing relating to conveyancing matters including, daily filing, opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files in accordance with departmental procedures.\\n• Under supervision, to carry out basic fee earner duties such as taking detailed client instructions, drafting basic emails and letters that do not contain legal advice and managing files requiring little or no technical fee earner input, including SDLT forms, Land Registry applications and requisitions.\\n• Dealing with post completion matters including lodging land registry applications and dealing with the Inland Revenue in relation to SDLT.\\n• Ensuring confidentiality and security of the Firm’s and clients documentation.\\n\\nSkills Required:\\n\\n• Previous experience in conveyancing or a related legal field.\\n• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.\\n• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, providing excellent client care.\\n• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal software.\\n• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.\\n\\nShould you have any questions or wish to apply please do not hesitate to contact Clear Legal and Financial Recruitment\\n\\nPlease Note: Due to the number of applications we receive we may be unable to respond to every application directly.
