My client is currently seeking a Solicitor to join their busy law firm in their compliance department in Leicester, Leicestershire. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified solicitor looking to transition from traditional fee-earning into a compliance and risk-focused role within a modern, growing practice.
You will work closely with senior management to review case files across various departments, ensuring regulatory compliance and promoting best practice throughout the business.
The RoleThe role will involve a mix of file auditing, risk management, and regulatory oversight, alongside providing guidance and training to fee earners. It is suited to a solicitor who enjoys the technical side of legal work, takes pride in accuracy, and has a natural eye for detail.
- Reviewing case files to ensure compliance with SRA Standards and Regulations.
- Identifying potential risk issues and advising on corrective actions.
- Updating internal policies and procedures in line with regulatory changes.
- Delivering internal training and feedback to fee earners.
- Supporting the development of the firm’s consultancy and quality frameworks.
- Working closely with the COLP/COFA to maintain best practice across the business.
- Qualified Solicitor with at least 5 years PQE.
- Previous experience in fee earning and a solid understanding of SRA compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical mindset, and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise effectively.
- A confident communicator who can influence colleagues and build trust.
