My client is seeking a Company Secretary/Head of Legal to join their not-for-profit organisation in Burgess Hill, West Sussex or York, Yorkshire. Only 1 day of office presence per week is required. They are one of the largest charities in the UK and have exciting upcoming projects planned. Main Purpose As the Company Secretary for the charity to ensure that the charity complies with statutory, regulatory and charity commission requirements. To be responsible for ensuring a robust governance and compliance structure; to oversee the management of corporate risk; and oversee all legal matters within the organisation and contribute to the successful delivery of strategic objectives by offering pragmatic and sound legal perspectives on key business decisions. To be the DPO for the organisation (and its subsidiary); to lead and develop a high performing legal services and corporate governance team, providing compliance, data management, company secretarial, information governance, data protection and health and safety services.
